lost in someone else’s dream
frolicking amidst madness
dangling by a dream and making
no sense of this commotion;

words of insanity
spewing forth like lava
bulldozing its way past
everything that came in the path;

how do I explain
what goes on inside
the deepest shadows
of my heart;

as the howling of the wind
and crashing of the thunder
drown out the sound of
a heart breaking
I sit down to watch my
reflection in the
puddle of tears;
