Without a mask

Written By: Praveen  |  Category: Friendship, Life, Love  |  (4) Comments  |

drifting away in my own mind
getting lost in the sands of time
i try to gather all the information
that is beaming infront of my eyes;

making little sense of
what is being said
and what is being done
i wander round and round;

acting like a clown
in this theatre of dreams
never really knowing
what is it that i am supposed to;

what is it that i am supposed to
to remain sane in this
mindless affairs of the heart
that is playing a tug of war;

like a lost diamond
lying among scattered stones
within my field of love
i constantly searched myself;

wandering aimlessly
you found me and gave me a meaning
to this existence that i was
beginning to get bored of;

now sitting here, across the table
hoping time comes to a grinding halt
listening to the relaxing beat of the heart,
i wait for the moment to be myself (again)
without the need for a mask;
