Here I am at mid day
Where did my rider go
I just started leading the pack
Now I just don’t know
Why does it always happen to me
Just as I am getting ahead
I lose the thing that guides me on
Now I’m all alone instead
My rider said we were as one
Now he’s on another horse
Do not know what I did
To change my rider’s course
Life doesn’t seem to favor me
No one left to hold my rein
I try and try to get ahead
I’m left here feeling pain
Am I just to be alone
I can’t believe it’s true
I need someone to confide
Keep me from feeling blue
I’m looking out over the land
In search of a new friend
I can’t believe this is the plan
To be alone in the end
