thoughts running through my mind
find a resting place
after all the hustle and bustle
that played out in my life;

sleep that once ran away at hyperspeed,
now slowly returns back, crawling back home;
life that came to a standstill
now moves on at a gentle pace;

so silently, she came and swept me
off to a wonderful dreamland,
now, after showing me around,
she gently placed me back on ground;

the gentle waves, caress my feet,
with sand in my shoes,
i sit down to enjoy
this beautiful, calm sea;

as a new day dawns,
i get up and make my way
across the beach,
leaving behind a dreamland;

with the day still young,
walking in the warm and bright day,
with the wind blowing gently
i pause and enjoy the sunshine;
