My Forbidden love
there she was, in all her
splendour beauty
captivating everyone with her smile
and killing everyone with just one look;
i stood there
patiently waiting
not wanting to make the first move
i watched in silence;
images of the past
meetings between us
flew through my mind,
memories of the last time;
i did not want to lose
this time around,
so held my ground
stubbornly;
countless hours and countless days,
it has taken me to come to this
final chapter of this game
that would decide my outcome;
a single failure does not bother me
but add them all together
my sanity becomes a debatable question
and whether i was right to keep going, looms large;
with such thoughts running in my mind,
i looked at her and our eyes met only a second,
and as i fell to the ground, alone,
i realized i have been beaten once again,
by this beautiful young lady
hell bent on wrecking my sleep;

intial inspiration for this came while playing a mobile game called Hero of Sparta and then while watching the trailer of the upcoming God of War 3 game.
